Client Information: Basic Corporation was established in 2006 with a vision to introduce a new shopping culture to Armenia. For the first time, a large number of brands were available under one roof, creating a multi-brand shopping destination with products catering to the entire family. Today, Basic Center proudly showcases over 80 brands of clothing, accessories, and footwear for women, men, and children.
In keeping with the trend of online shopping, the company recognized the importance of providing customers with the ability to shop for their favorite items online. As a result, Basic Center made the decision to offer an online shopping platform to enhance the shopping experience for its customers.
Project Details: Basic Center, a client seeking to revamp and launch their legacy online shopping portal, partnered with Acumen Technologies for their expertise in agile project delivery in a dynamic environment, emphasizing communication and brainstorming.
To begin, Acumen Technologies performed an analysis of the legacy code base, followed by refactoring. The development team acted as solution experts, designing new features and offering solution options based on the client’s identified marketing needs. Upon approval of one of the solutions, the team proceeded with implementing the new features.
To ensure smooth integration, the team synchronized and integrated 3rd party service providers systems, such as payment systems, financial & resource management systems used by the client’s offline stores, and Yandex maps to support logistics solutions implementation. Additionally, the team optimized the web portal’s performance to maximize user experience.
Throughout the project, the development team ensured high quality control, as the web portal was actively used during the implementation and integration process. Quality Control Engineers planned and executed testing and integration processes, eliminating any possible impact on all the existing and newly added functionalities.
In parallel, a custom CMS system was created to give the client control over user and permission management, order tracking, web portal content management, delivery progress tracking, payment statuses, and more.
